She was denied because she did not give enough supporting evidence and although we’ve been together for almost a year, she was told there was not enough evidence that we were in a relationship. Also despite my mum sending a copy of our tenancy agreement she was told there was not enough evidence to show she had somewhere to live or could be supported without recourse to public funds. They also said that despite us telling them we were on skype to each other every day/night, that there was no evidence that we were in contact with each other.the whole thing has been a nightmare. there is no real information to be found online, no phone numbers to call. Her passport now has a red stamp on it so we don’t know if she can come over for 6 months on the visa waiver programme or if she has to apply for a visa, again, no one to call and find out. We are considering appealing, and looking at what supporting documents to send. Any advice would be much appreciated!
Useful info. thanks. We were hoping that if she could come to the UK for a visit, we could get more evidence to show that we were together and get the rest of the supporting information together. The supporting evidence is doable, so we would consider appealing, however, just concerned that it would affect any future applications. I could go there and get married in the US but this is no guarantee that she will get a spouse visa afterwards.
Many thanks for all the info. Its much appreciated. I called the Immigration Enquiry Bureau today and they said that she could come to the UK on the visa waiver scheme, but that she may be asked questions at border control and may have to report somewhere during her visit. We are going to take the risk and book flights for her. This way we can collate more evidence of our relationship

I lost my job during the last financial meltdown in UAE, had a good job with a good salary but sometimes events reshape your future. I am an honest person at core who understands and realizes his obligations, commitments and responsibilities.
To cut it short, after moving jobs and during the second month at new job, I was told that the company is in crisis and can not afford me any longer. I was given a termination letter explaining that due to financial difficulties they have to let me go. My whole world turned upside down. I am a highly educated and experienced individual but I did not see it coming.
Since I was residing in UAE and had a luxury lifestyle due to my higher earnings, I indulged myself into all kinds of luxuries including an expensive car, nice house etc by utilizing my income and higher limit credit cards. I did not realize it at the time since in my mind I was a good customer with a decent credit history with the banks.
As soon as I was made redundant, in a panic attack, I stopped all of my payments since the company did not pay me any extra compensation when they made me redundant. As a matter of fact, they even stopped my last month salary due to clearance issues and paid later my last month’s salary in two months after two months’ time.
I informed some of the credit card companies and applied for insurance shield, which at the time I thought could help me a bit but was told that it got rejected because I was not working with this new company for past three months.
To cut it short, after wards, I experienced the toughest time of my life for 10 months without a job during which I left UAE and went back to my native country. I was offered a job in my country and I started it and since first month of my job I started paying back to lenders but in amounts which I could afford. Since then, I have closed and settled one credit card completely and paying two with regular, however small, comparative to their outstanding balances for last one year.
There are two credit cards, which I haven’t touched so far and I’m sure they have put my name under immigration ban since I did not pay them anything for last 1 and a half years. I did not contact them since I knew that they gonna press me for payments which I cant spare due to my limited earnings from this new job and my existing payment schedules.
I need a way out! I can’t do that for the rest of my life, paying amounts every month but deferring the inevitable to future every single day. I thought of visiting other GCC countries as I can get a job there hopefully but I am not sure if the UAE immigration ban is valid for other GCC countries as well. I do not want to get caught at Saudi or Qatar due to my pathetic situation with UAE based lenders.
I am not running away from my liabilities, I just want a way out of this mess. I realize that this is a result of my own deeds and I am being punished for that. I have long feared that my sins will visit me in the most horrible manner and I think this is what they are.
All I need is a max of two years’ time with a decent job in GCC based on my skills and experience and I am sure that I will wipe my slate clean without any financial bailout from anyone. I can’t enter UAE, where my main market is. Now I fear that I can’t enter any other GCC country as well.
I would appreciate if anyone could help me with accurate information since it’s my life which is at stake here. I was told that the Dubai Dewan can grant exclusive decisions that can literally get you out of trouble.
I am already drowned so your sarcastic comments wouldn’t make a difference except to put me under more stress, so it’s your call. At the end, it’s our deeds and wits that make us men.

I don’t have a Kindle or Nook and don’t wish to invest in one. Plus, I’d have to buy the good books using a credit card and my parents won’t let that happen. There are some books that I really want to read but are only e-books and when I search for them on my local library’s online catalog, they aren’t in stock. This sucks. It’s as if those books are exclusive to Kindle or Nook owners and that’s not fair. Would I at least be able to find the books on a shelf in the Barnes & Noble store?

So I’m 19 and I’m finishing high school and trying to apply for jobs. But at the same time, I’m wanting to try and start applying for credit cards (when I get a job). But my real name is kind of hard to make a signature out of.. so I’m wondering if I could use my “nick name” which is a shorter version of my real name. Would it be ok if I did that for checks too? But I’m wondering if I’ll have issues, because what if they see my real name on my I.D’s then this other name which everyone calls me. No one really calls my real name except for my mom or dad when I get in trouble.. (lolz it’s true though). Would I have any problems with it like buying stuff in stores? also can I apply for a credit card without having a job? or do I need to have a job in order to get one? Thank you for answering.. and sorry for so many questions. But I’ve been wondering about this for a LONG time.

CASA DE MARYLAND SUMMARY OF FACTS

•The Central American Solidarity Association (CASA) was founded in 1983 in Takoma Park, Maryland.
•Core activities include organizing day labor centers, teaching tactics for avoiding police/immigration officials, coordinating government benefit receipts (such as driver’s licenses) and law enforcement interference.
•CASA de Maryland’s primary objective is to seek blanket amnesty for all illegal aliens in the state, with designs for greater outreach.
•Officials for CASA openly threaten any who oppose their efforts by picketing private residences, schools and places of employment.
•Over 40 percent of CASA’s annual operating budget is funded by state and local governments.
    •Funding from a variety of sources (2003-2010):
•Healthcare providers and research foundations (i.e. Aetna and Komen Breast Cancer Foundation) $200,000+

•Venezuela’s CITGO Petroleum Corporation donated $1.5 million
•Ford Motor Company and Foundation gave $1.2 million+
•George Soros’ Open Society Institute $350,000+
•Additional organizations offering financial support: Susan G. CASA receives about 40 percent of its funding from Maryland state and local governments—almost $5 million of taxpayer dollars in 2010—and spends most of it lobbying for illegal immigrant perks and exceptions. Their recent lawsuit is a blatant attempt to derail the democratic process itself. So it is a fair question to ask: what is CASA de Maryland?

    Illegal Alien Advocacy
The 1980s flood of illegal aliens escaping instability in Central America was the impetus for CASA’s creation. It has since morphed into a multi-million dollar institution whose primary mission is illegal alien advocacy. Following is a partial list of its activities:

1.Day labor centers—a hub for illegal aliens
    2.Instruction in avoiding police/immigration officials
3.What to do if detained by police/immigration officials
    4.English as a second language
    5.Counseling on available government benefits
6.Agitating for driver’s licenses for illegals
    7.Agitating for bi-lingual education
8.Agitating for social services, like in-state tuition for illegals (i.e. the DREAM Act)
    9.Undermining security and border laws
10.Interfering with law enforcement efforts against illegals.

On the website Somos Baltimore Latino CASA advertises membership with a drawing depicting the CASA membership ID card, (translated into English via Google with corrections):

BECOME A MEMBER OF HOUSE [CASA] – The organization CASA de Maryland is re-launching the campaign “BECOME A MEMBER OF [CASA]“ in order to register more Latinos brothers. To date, CASA [has] more than 10,000 members.

Membership allows us to achieve many legal and civil rights [victories], the most recent is that of Maryland’s Dream Act favoring undocumented students. CASA is currently working alongside other organizations to promote immigration reform.

CASA membership gives you access to services as well as take classes in English, computer, citizenship, health care, legal advice and participation in activities and programs of CASA.
State offices are allowing Illegal immigrants to use this card to register for welfare benefits, in violation of state and federal law. More about this later.

CASA collaborated with the National Lawyers Guild (NLG) through its “Detention Watch National Immigration Project” on a brochure explaining how illegals can protect themselves during immigration raids and arrest. This brochure is readily available at CASA locations. Text on the cover says:

Some people who are not United States citizens have been arrested or detained by the U.S. government. Learn how to protect yourself if this happens to you.
It essentially tells you how to evade the law, or if caught, minimize the impact and avoid deportation.

I live in New York City, and I’m starting a small ONLINE business that will sell downloadable products. Do I need to fill out a DBA form? If so how much does it cost and where do i fill one out? My business will be online, so does that mean I’ll have exclusive rights to my DBA name? Also, will I need a Tax ID? I want to collect money through the site, is there any information I’ll be needing to acquaint myself with?

I know I’ll have to get some sort of merchant account from the bank and they won’t give you one unless I have a Tax ID, but will I need a business ID?

The main product I want to start selling is a book. Do I need to copyright it through some organization, or website? Or can I just simply write “copyright 2008″ on it?

Please fill me in on any information you can. Thanks guys!

OK, here’s the deal. I graduated from high school in 2007. I went away for college for my first year (I’m still a student. I just transferred home). My dad and I set up an arrangement for the first year of college until I was able to find work (I wasn’t, thus one of the reasons I moved back home) and he set me up with a VISA with his credit union. Well, I (we) missed a couple of payments. I don’t know if he and I had some kind of misunderstanding, but he made most payments, but failed to make 2 or 3 on time. That’s kind of irrelevant now. I payed that card and closed it because the credit union advised me to do so. I have one other card that is for Zales that I used to buy an engagement ring and have since paid it off. I’d like to get another general credit card, but was denied by Chase Bank for a rewards credit card. I went in and talked to someone at the bank to see if there was anything I could do. The lady pretty much told me no, and that it was advisable that I wait another 6 months before I apply again. Is there anything I can do, or is the bank teller correct? She suggested that I apply for a Chase Slate card that people with not much or bad credit use to build credit. What should I do?

I felt overwhelmed at work yesterday evening after trying to give my all but was prepared to make the best of today despite being a little run down and had very polite customers many that told me they appreciated my effort in helping them, and I quickly completed my credit goal within my first half hr. Then feeling better about my accomplishments of today compared to how I felt yesterday I started checking out this lady and she asked if she could have a discount coupon (we have certain exclusive coupons that are for customers that have a charge card with us, of those a couple certain coupons require that you charge at least part of your bill on your card which is the one we were offering today) I assume she has a card and let her pick a coupon and apply it to her transaction. I tell her how much her total is and she already has her bank card in her hand and is zoning in on my pinpad by the time I complete that sentence and I am now asking her if I can see her charge card and her id ( most customers that have a card know which coupons must be used with it or will ask around this point whether it has to be charged to use this discount and I will explain and let them only charge a dollar or two if they don’t really want to charge much but still want the discount ) she makes a face and reaches back towards her wallet (I assume to find the cards I asked for) then pauses and quickly slides her debit. I then say ‘oh, actually this transaction is supposed to go on your charge card ‘ ‘why’ ‘because this paticular coupon is supposed to be used with your card’ ‘well yesterday they gave them to everybody that asked for one whether or not they used a card’ (almost always a lie or misunderstanding) I ask if she remembers who was helping her since our policies don’t allow us to do this and if valid we need to address this issue, and my coworker also agrees and pages a manager bc she is irate. She immediately starts screaming at me to finish and to press whatever button I have
to complete her transaction. ( at this point i’m not sure what to do, because she is upset and won’t let me explain and i’m not even sure if she has a card at this point. but because i can’t go back i need to find out whether she wants this discount or not and that depends on what card she is willing to use…) i tell her i need to know whether she wants to keep her discount to proceed. ‘well obviously your not gonna give it to me so just press whatever you need to press to finish this up’ she has been screaming the entire time about the same thing and won’t stop. i void the transaction and start over and then tell her her new total and ask to see her id. am screamed at again bc ‘you see with your eyes not your hand’ (bc she is holding it far away and i try to get a closer look since i am still required to make sure it’s her.. ) her id didn’t even look much like her but close enough when i’m trying to get her out of here and the name match so i give her her receipt and start walking aw

my debit card, supposedly he got out by himself, the judge let him out before the trial like 15 days before, so to make long story short, since I just had sold the tv, he says get the tv back, and i was like what are kidding me, i went to a flea market to sell it to anybody to get you out, and he went crazy saying that he didnt give me authorization and other crap, i have his letters where he was begging to get out, now hes saying hes gong to sue me for stealing his tv, can he do that? Also somehow he thinks that we have his tv, which we dont, we have our own tvs, his wasnt even a brand name tv, but hes been harassing me constantly over the phone all drunk saying that i have no morals, should i get a lawyer? just in case.
well since hes out hes started drinking again theres no way to talk to him, he probably thinks that i got way more for the tv than i did, but because of the urgency we sold it for what we could get maybe it was a little cheaper but ey hes the one that screwed up getting another dwi on another state. right?
NY GIRl. I agree with you, hes a poor hopeless soul, but hes 42 yrs old theres not much i can do for him, its so sad too cause he was a hero in the gulf war and everything, has medals and lost everything to booze.
Im afraid hes going to kill himself.

Inch Widetie and the Extremely Annoying Planet
    Chapter 1

On a planet some 10 million light years from the Watford Gap lieutenant Inch Widetie stretched languorously and surveyed the scene. The crimson sky the deep green sand and the chromium yellow ocean. His planet went in for bright, eye numbing colours in a big way, mainly because it had picked up a rather old copy of What Planet when it made itself. Inch often yearned for more pastel shades. Yellow ochre, cobalt blue a nice soft green. Strangely Jessica Headlong, who sat stirring what the service station at the Watford Gap called coffee, longed for the opposite. Such are the mysteries of the multi-verse.

Inch yawned and took stock. First lieutenant of an intergalactic mega-death ship, enough credit on his card to buy a small planet and that priceless Wegon artefact he had plundered now safely stowed away in his Dwiss deposit box. Yes he concluded life was good especially here at THE most exclusive and hideously expensive resort of Bondage Beach. RICH ENOUGH? Then do Bondage, was the resorts slogan. There was only one unguent in Wideties flies. That bloody fool Captain Troon Slimtrouser had informed him, that morning, that they were off “for a jolly jaunt” to survey (plunder) some Vart forsaken planet that most sentient beings had never heard of. In fact he had on good authority that the retards that inhabited the place had only just got to their moon!

Well Inch thought, if they are THAT primitive it should be a pushover. But what will there be to loot? A spasm of worry with a hint of fear passed across Wideties horse-like visage. His credit was fraudulent and he’d heard that the listening bank didn’t listen; it broke your arms and legs. Never mind he could always challenge the banks chairman to a game of splatball to settle the matter; if it came to that. Widetie smiled cruelly, at least the smile wasn’t cruel but Widetie most definitely was!

Splatball is a traditional, if highly illegal, method of solving disputes on Wideties
Home-world. The game is similar to squash, but much, much nastier. It involves whacking a small hedgehog like creature against any available wall. The hedgehog like creature finds this somewhat annoying as it usually ends being splattered, hence the name. The winner is he (mostly he) who splatters more of the hedgehog like creatures against any available wall. It is highly illegal because the traditional winner’s prize is the right to surgically remove any part of the anatomy of the looser.
Traditionally without the aid of a general anaesthetic or a qualified surgeon. This Widetie felt was sufficient grounds for some compliancy; regarding the debt.

A large and beautifully coloured butterfly landed on Wideties’ chest he promptly swatted and ate it. This I think gives you an insight into the morals and general demeanour of the inhabitants of the planet THUG.

Widetie relaxed, sure that his master plan was sound. However the music from a small seaside bar was about to UN-relax him. A loud, horribly repetitive and moronic sound assaulted his ears. Widetie reached for his trusty bad music eliminator which was in fact a mark II kill anything if you want to laser gun. To purchase one you can order it at www. Kill.Co.TH.

Widetie eased himself slowly from his deck-chair and checked his weapon. He squinted, lighted a cheroot and arranged his poncho. Oddly the music from the offending bar took on a distinctly Latino flavour. Widetie approached the bar a steely glint in his eyes. A number of vulture like creatures suddenly rose into the sky and began to circle.

‘You mind turning that music off partner’. Widetie growled.

The barman, a large overweight cretin gave Widetie the stare then reached under the counter. It was the last thing he ever did. The bar the barman and a lot of the surrounding area was instantly vaporised by Wideties’ weapon.

‘I won’t be back punk’. Widetie whispered. The vulture like creatures looked decidedly miffed. He could have left some kind of carcass they muttered.

Widetie holstered his gun and his eyes squinted a bit more. ‘Bad music, he rasped, has to be dealt with’. His personnel communicator binged at him.

    ‘Yes’. He shouted.

‘Ah Widetie, Slimtrouser here we are off in forty minutes. I trust that you will be onboard’! This in a somewhat threatening tone, or at least the most threatening tone that an overweight middle aged incompetent captain could muster.
‘Certainly Captain, would not miss it for the world’.
Widetie scowled, then scowled some more. He glanced at the smouldering remains of the beach bar then pressed a button that would summon his personal transport.

His personal transport or car was the latest Firrarino. A sixty quigowaht engine, nought to very, very fast in no time at all and a life times subscription to WHICH something or other.
The car settled beside Widetie and shivered slightly. It wasn’t that it particularly disliked Widetie; its former owner had also been an idiot.
But Widetie would insist on turning off its failsafe, get you there without loosing part of your anatomy, guidance system.
Widetie got in; the car waited. Whoosh bang scream. “Here we go again, the car thought, all this bloody technology and what does he do! Drive it himself”!

A large number of the lower life forms inhabiting Bondage Beach, including an exceptionally pretty if deadly poisonous crab agreed with the car. Many of them had been deafened by Wideties’ departure. The crab made a mental note to attack Widetie at the next convenient moment. Crabs have long memories and very bad tempers.

Widetie entered the captain’s cabin and gave the salute. Which meant he held his genitals and hoped for the best?

But yeah, I’m having so much freaking trouble tracking down the boards with the card spaces. You know, the ones Yugi and Joey used in the first minute of the first episode?
I’ve always been a big Yu-Gi-Oh fan XD

Can anyone help me find one? For instance what I should be typing into a Google search or what sort of stores still sell them?
    Oh, also.

MUST MUST MUST MUST be series 1 with Yugi Muto, Yami Yugi, Seto Kaiba etc. No GX or 5Ds of Zexal, ugh.

    Thanks everyone ^^

  • Huey says:

I’m considering opening Kohls Charge account, but do you know if it’s a cars issued by a bank (like Walmart’s card is by GE Money Bank), or is it strictly a store card? Do they take your credit history under consideration?

  • Reuben says:

If everyone had their money go into the bank and have their own computer chip inplanted to use like a credit card to remove the money. No one could steal checks or credit cards. Do banking by computer and just sent the money to people’s accounts like we do now. What do you think would be a good idea to stop crime?

  • Abe says:

What is the best way to get around how far is it into new York city? How far to Baltimore any idea on price to fly Newark to Baltimore or greyhound?

  • Curtis says:

What do you think about this?

Good names for the agency? I want to know where do I register my agency’s name? Which companies would be good to sell for? Basically I need to know everything about opening an agency. It is going to be a friend and me opening it. And this is in Kansas. Any additional advice is helpful!!

  • Rosy says:

There are a lot of different types. Some you can spend little on, some you can spend a lot on. Could you list the ones that allow you to spend a lot (for example how much can you spend on a black card?)

I travel a lot in the military and have a government card that I use for expenses. whenever i get back , as long as it was an authorized expense, its automatically reembersed. but I don’t earn anything for spending on a gov’t card. Anyone know of any good ideas for cards to get?!? APR shouldn’t be a factor because I pay it off immediately but i don’t want any montly or annual charges just to have it. some have already recommended Cabellas or Gas cards…any ideas?

  • Fidel says:

BQ: Who would your MITB winner be?I would choose Cody Rhodes.
BQ2 Are you glad that the Royal Rumble has 30 superstars or would you rather have 40?

  • Reuben says:

I live in Oregon and have obtained a medical marijuana card and don’t want to get it from a dispensary. I have a seed bank I can order from and, as Oregon’s laws state, I can grow up to 24 plants. I’m only going to grow a few because I live alone and only smoke by myself. Does anyone know a good indoor strain of marijuana? Preferably sativa and doesn’t have an overpowering odor. I don’t care about size (although smaller is better because I don’t need a ton of it, and have to fit it inside a grow tent indoors) Also I’m a big fan of sweet tasting strains and also fruity (pineapple, blackberry, etc.) So anyways, what would be an ideal strain?
