I am applying for a secured credit card after bankruptcy (due to medical bills), Is it to my advantage to get 2 or 3 secured credit cards to build history or only use one? I dont really need or want any loans/credit cards right now and I am big on paying cash but I need to rebuild my credit rating. Will 2-3 secured cards build my credit faster then 1 secured card?

  • Chester says:

Im thinking about getting one, not sure if i should yet.

  • Michel says:

I have excellent credit, all 3 scores in the 758 to 798 range. I only have 2 credit cards, but theyre both just basic cards from when I was 18. They don’t offer benefits/rewards or anything. What card can I apply for that gives rewards to people with good credit?

I just want to know what are exact differences of Debit card and Credit card. Please tell me what ever you know about these two cards. Thanks for help!

  • Heath says:

As far as I know, credit cards involve paying interest rates to the bank wich costs additional money on top of the purchases price. On the other hand debit cards are free when used in offline and online purchases, so does anybody know why people prefer to use credit cards instead of debit cards ?

  • Ahmad says:

I’m a single parent I work part time and I’m also a student.
    I also receive some benefits.

My problem is that 6 months ago I was scammed by someone I considered to be a friend and lost hundreds of pounds, and I never recovered from the loss of money, because I didn’t have that money to pay rent and bills that month I had to borrow from the next month to make up, and that’s how it continued as I never caught up.
To make sure I had enough money to pay my rent I had to cancel payment on other things, which have now built up and I don’t know what to do,

I feel like I’m never going to catch up, I really don’t want to get into any more debt, but I don’t know what to do.

I owe £400 to the electricity company I have tried to organise a payment scheme with them but they wanted me to pay over £100 a month and I couldn’t afford that, and the only other option was to pay £50 a month and a lump sum of £350 at once which I couldn’t do either.

I also owe nearly £200 to a credit card company, I’ve been making the minimum payments but its not making any difference to the balance.

I’m also a month behind on my rent at the moment.

I’ve cut down on my spending, I’ve tried selling things, but I just don’t know how to get back on top of my finances.

Any advice would be greatly aappreciated

I want to get a frequent flyer credit card but I already have 3 credit cards with generous limits. I don’t need these credit cards and I would like to cancel them and have this “possible credit” to go towards the new card. I heard once that canceling a credit card has a negitive effect on your credit score. Is this true? If so, how do I switch credit cards and avoid affecting my credit score in a bad way?
